We decided to get this set because we were so pleased with how we felt after using Healthy Wave mats in smaller sizes. This one fills the top of our king sized mattress. We are very happy to use it to soothe aching muscles. We had a very pleasant surprise this year. After using this mat for a little over a year, my wife decided to have a followup DEXA scan. She had one about three years previously. At that time she was diagnosed with osteoporosis. She was not thinking about the mat before the decision to retest, but in general was wondering how she was doing with her bones. I read her report which was released on her health app quickly after the test. It showed the five readings from the hips and thigh bones that they measured. The numbers confused me. They were all between 11 and 25 percent, but not expressed with a negative number. The next day she received a call from the person who was assigned to call her with followup care. She was really curious about what my wife was doing. The numbers indicated that her bone mineral densities were increasing. She was getting better. The caller said that she rarely ever saw someone improve. She said she was required to give recommendations about taking calcium and vitamin D. But she had never heard of PEMF.
